Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 17, 2026
Wandering Willows is designed with privacy in mind. The current version does not require an account and does not operate a backend service that receives your journal entries or other personal writing.
Information stored on your device
The app may store information you choose to enter or settings you choose, including your preferred name, app preferences, journal entries, and information used to remember which in-app letters you have read. This information is stored locally on your device.
Information we collect
The current version does not collect or transmit your journal entries, preferred name, or other locally stored app content to Wandering Willows servers. It does not include advertising, behavioral tracking, third-party analytics, or third-party crash-reporting services.
Sharing
Some app content can be shared using your device's standard sharing features. Sharing is initiated by you. The destination app or service you select may process shared content under its own privacy policy.
Device permissions and notifications
The current version does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location. App preferences may include notification-related settings. The current version does not transmit a push-notification token to Wandering Willows.
Deleting your data
The app includes a Delete My Data function that removes locally stored Wandering Willows app data from the device.
Children's privacy
Wandering Willows is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the current version of the app.
Security
Because current app content is stored locally rather than on a Wandering Willows backend, protecting access to your device is an important part of protecting your information.
Changes
If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated. The effective date above identifies the current version.
